                             Notes from the arena champ.

While it's always nice to give an undefeated warrior their first loss, there's nothing 
better than doing so in style.  (Serves you right, Vesper. You should have honored the 
throne and written a DM column.)

Hail, and well met, Kaltos.  A Black Bulldog once again sits upon the Duelmaster's 
throne, as is only right and proper.  I don't know exactly how long I will be at the 
top.  There seem to be no Challenger Champions willing to take me on at the moment, 
but that doesn't mean there aren't some worthy challengers among our Champion class 
warriors.  We'll see which one I get randomly matched up with.  

It's nice that the Commission waives the arena entrance fee for the Duelmaster.  And a 
few other arena honorees as well.  The Bulldogs fell just one award shy of getting 
their entire entry fee waived this turn.  But, three is better than none, so we'll 
take it.

                                      SPY REPORT

     It is I, Novgorodny Vir, Spymaster of Spymasters.  Look on my work, ye mighty, 
and despair!  Nothing works for a team like victory (How's that for a perceptive 
observation?) as DUELHAMPSTERS! can attest...  Practice pays for TATERS, EH?, who 
pummelled PERSISTENT BEGGAR, to pocket 16 points.  HOOLIGAN certainly had a baffled 
expression on hers face, after losing to VENOMOUS CONCUBINE and losing 13 points in 
the process!  The arena was more crowded than usual this time, as JAWS faced KALTOS' 
Duelmaster.  Those who hoped for a new Duelmaster were disappointed by JAWS, of JAMES 
BONDAGE, who despite a 1-4-0 couldn't overcome KALTOS' Number 1.  So who was the 
warrior seen charging into immovable walls and challenging dead trees?  Someone's got 
a basic problem...   
     My mother wished me to avoid conflict, and seek the gentle trade of Spyreporter. 
But warriors aren't supposed to avoid fights!  Perhaps the warriors of BLACK BULLDOGS 
should take up some hobbies, as they are the most avoided team...  As a woman of good 
breeding scorns the "warriors" of JAMES BONDAGE, so did that sorry team shy from 
BLACK BULLDOGS Everyone is famous for fifteen minutes, and BLACK BEAUTY is it right 
now.  Most challenged warrior.  Isn't BLACK BULLDOGS proud!   
     Is there life after death?  Pragmatics (and warriors) know there is death after 
life!  Never one to advocate diplomacy and restraint, I was pleased to see 
DUELHAMPSTERS! retaliate against PLASTER CASTER in bloodfeud!  Oh hard!  that to 
strike a flame, the match itself must needs be wasting!   
     Do not think spyreporting in KALTOS is the highlight of my life.  As the seasons 
change, and the creatures of the wild change also, so do I feel a yearning to leave 
this place.  Can anything compare to the pleasure of writing Spyreports for KALTOS?
