                                      SPY REPORT

     Hail and well met warriors of ALJAFIR!  Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp 
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari.  Former top team THE SHOWOFFS was 
unseated this week as WHEN EAGLES DARE moved up from 2nd ranking to take the top spot 
with a 4-1-0 record for the round.  Warriors--remember that glory waits always around 
the corner!  Witness how this week FIVE DAYS went 1-0-0 to move up 3 in the rankings. 
Did only my eyes note the 4-1-0 record which WHEN EAGLES DARE managed to post this 
round?  I don't doubt that such a record will draw challengers!  WYATT TURNER caught 
the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested RE-HOUSED 
MOUSE and was awarded 20 points in recognition.  In one of the week's more notable 
duels, WYATT TURNER put down RE-HOUSED MOUSE, causing it to lose 16 points of 
recognition in the process.  Most watched of the fights this week, the spotlight was 
on MICKEY MOUSE as he bore arms against the challenge of reigning Duelmaster JUST 
GIVE UP.  Not for nothing has JUST GIVE UP in the past laid claim to the Duelmaster's 
throne, and this week he's proven his combat skill yet again.  No confirmation, but 
my sources claim that the top team has gained their position using magical aids.  
Charmed weapons perhaps?   
     Many and various are the arts of battle.  In ALJAFIR "art" is a word that has 
long since passed from the language!  ALJAFIR, city of gladiators!  Mighty among the 
names of thy guilds is MOUSE HOUSE, a guild shunned and avoided by many in the weekly 
duels.  Apparently the stalwarts of THE SHOWOFFS are catching the bulk of jests down 
at the challenging board for their large share of the avoids.  Mighty fighters cannot 
but expect competition from those below.  MICKEY MOUSE take warning!  You have more 
than a few enemies in ALJAFIR.  JUST WIN must really be harboring a grudge against 
the WHEN EAGLES DARE guild!  Merciless, 31 challenged down GONDOLIN points this week 
to duel with he.  The Fates are not kind to the cowardly, as evidenced by the fact 
that JUST WIN was subdued by GONDOLIN.  And who can now doubt that GONDOLIN is a 
hardy opponent?   
     Is not Death a warrior's foremost adviser?   Warriors, may this counselor stand 
ready at your right hand forever!  Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears 
arms.  One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!   
     The girls are as pretty in ALJAFIR as ever I remembered them....and the fighters 
as ugly!  Don't let your reputation slip!  Sadly warriors, now longer can I keep thy 
company nor savor the ale of thy fine city.  Depart I must and soon!  Till next we
