                                      SPY REPORT

The tide rose a bit red this week. The sea also whispered it was time for a change. As 
such, she crowned a new Duelmaster this week, and her name drips with irony: Lady 
Roses of Cruel Nights.  Sweet name, cruel steel. She toppled Wart Hog to claim the 
cherished seat at the top. The blood had not even cooled before her team toasted her 
victory. Don't let the sweet smell fool you, roses have thorns!

Bali-Raj has risen to the top of the recognition rolls. Some say he is sour as his 
team's name suggests, but with 21 wins, he's earned his bite. Calypso Vane remained 
undefeated and leads the unchartered wave. Her melody is proving to be effective 
against those who hear it. As to fame and favor, none shine brighter than Friar Tawk. 
A holy man with unholy reflexes, he's become a crowd pleaser and people's champion on 
the sands of Niytyole.

Siren's Song still rules the waves with a 12-3 record. Aye, these sirens sing sweet 
and strike sharp.  On the rise, we have Caress of Steel, who gained 52 points, gliding 
through the ranks like a blade in the moonlight.  Cruel Nights and The Demonic Pickles 
each had strong showings too, the former climbing high with a 4-1 run.  Dark 
Mechanicum took a heavy hit, 0-4, and dropped to 8th place. Do the gears of their dark 
engines rust in the salt air?

Raise a toast to the fallen. Peace O Feculence met his end in the Dark Arena, 
butchered by the Arenamaster himself. Vampire followed suit, though few will mourn 
that pale shade. The sand remembers, even when the living forget.

It was a day of salt and steel.  The Big Lake Bandits remain the most avoided crew on 
the island, and Cruel Nights the most fearful of them. For now, the crown rests upon 
Lady Roses' brow, but crowns in Niytyole rust fast in the sea air.  I remain here, 
anchored by old magic and older sins. The tide brings in more stories each week, and I 
set them free again in ink. See me again in two weeks. I am not going anywhere.
